I found a toy tractor at Goodwill that I thought might make a good robot base, the robot was given the name Picotrac because of the base.

At this point in the building I have no clue what this robot will look like, I'm just throwing pieces together.

The above pictures are photos I took of LJ for a portfolio to send to CanLaws Productions for them to decide whether they wanted to use him in the film iRobot.

This is the picture used for all the artistic renderings.

Drawing of Little Johnny done by JP Graphics

This is my artistic rendering of LJ done in Photoshop.

Little Johnny with Patrick Norton on Screen Savers.

Will Smith upstaging Little Johnny in iRobot.

L.J. can be seen in this robot repair shop in the film iRobot.

The first picture of LJ with his Halogen shop light head.

Another picture just after adding the head, no eye sensors yet.

If you look close, you can see that the neck is not yellow yet.

Rare photos showing me working on Little Johnny.

...yes my desk always looks that messy.

Ok, I'm acting like I'm working for the picture.

My son Cameron with Little Johnny outside, notice the second arm.

Picotrac wasn't really known as LJ until the head was added.

He only had one arm for several months. :-)

The arm is a rough copy of the raptor arms in Jurassic Park.
