1st 2008, All New Crab Walker
1SORC Technologies LLC will be releasing the Crab Walker Robot early
July 2008. This will be our first product under the newly organized
company and we're very excited about it.
The Crab Walker, inspired by Steve Jones of Bug-N-Bots, is over 1
year in the making and is one of the most complete robots kits
available today. It is USB programmed and charged, comes with an
on-board LiPoly rechagable battery, USB to TTL converter, KicChip
processor which uses Basic or Flow Chart programming, and is easily
assembled using nothing more than super glue, nylon rivets and a few
small screws.
We are offering a great preorder special that guarantees one of the
first prodution models and saves you $10, but this special ends June
15th, 2008 so order one now and save.

13th 2007, New website layout and new product
I'm very pleased to bring back a little larger selection of products
to the 1SORC store. Every now and then I run across some great items
that are hard to find or generally too expensive for most hobbyists.
So when I'm able, I like to provide them at best possible price. I've
found these great little servo style Gear Motors that are perfect for
small robots and I'm able to offer them here at a great price. Enjoy!

9th 2007, New source for Sumo11 LCD panels
My original source for LCDs recently followed the growing trend
to Backlit panels that not only draw more power, but look ugly and
are more expensive. Not wanting to ruin the looks of the Sumo11,
nor raise its cost, I set out on a quest to find a suitable replacement.
At long last I can put the Expanded Sumo11 back online! I found
a nice quality replacement that fits the price goal I intended for
the Sumo11. This means that you can continue to enjoy the product
at the same price it's been since the beginning.
Less noteworthy news, check out some of my robot creations in the
Gallery.

March
1st 2006, Back to our Roots.
As of
late 2005 I took a position with Solarbotics Ltd. Because of this
decision I can no longer keep up with sales of multiple products
on this site nor the advertising involved in supporting a full site,
so as you have seen, I've narrowed the inventory down to just what
it takes to maintain support of the Sumo11 controller.
I plan to continue to support the Sumo11 indefinitely and will also
continue selling the boards as long as there's interest. You can
still find the manuals, software, and other support on this site.
You'll also still be able to purchase the Sumo11 controller via
Paypal or credit card.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On December
1st 2003 we opened 1sorc to the public. You might ask "Why
another robot store?" Well, it all boils down to the creation
of the Sumo11 robot controller board. There has been a lot of interest
in the board and it's been difficult in the past to contact me to
place an order, so rather than distribute them through a middle
man and have the price go up, we thought it would be better to open
a web store and sell direct to ensure that you get the best deal
possible.
The Sumo11
was created to get a good controller into the hands of those who
could not afford one otherwise. My family and I are not in this
to make a living and we have very little overhead, so what that
means to you is you get our products at rock bottom prices.
It doesn't
make much sense to have an entire site for just one item and it
also doesn't make sense to sell the same products everyone else
is selling, so what we plan to do is offer our own products and
the peripherals that go with them. Most of what you'll see here
will be things you can't get elsewhere.
We plan to cater to the Botball organization and provide quality
products for their needs. Schools and groups qualify for small discounts,
but must order via email to get the savings.
We hope you enjoy the site and appreciate the savings.
Happy Shopping!
The 1sorc team.
